Blogging 101

I am officially now a blogger. I never thought I'd be one. Just like I thought email was weird and cell phones frivolous, I really couldn't figure out this blog thing. Then my sister and her family, and my sis-in-law (with my brother and little Kadence of course) moved away, far away! Blogging is how I keep up with what's happening in their lives and still feel connected to them. So really, this blog is for all of them, so they can feel a little more connected to us too.

I hope you enjoy the first pictures. My niece and nephew, Matt and Trinity are with us for the weekend. We braved the fog-like smog from the fires that are roasting our beautiful state like a marshmallow and went to the zoo this morning. Smog and all, we had a great time! We ended the day making homemade ice cream and playing water games in the back yard. That's what you do when you live where it's 100 plus degrees in the summer and you don't have a pool! Much to my daughter's dismay.
