Introducing Diesel-Bob

Since this is a Teter blog, I thought I should introduce you to the various members of our family. Let's start with the newest and most demanding member... our dog Diesel. He is 8 months old and a Border Collie/Lab mix with something else in there too. Needless to say, if you know dogs, you know we have our hands full. Both Labs and Bordie Collies are "active" breeds and he is no exception. But like both breeds, he is also protective and loyal. The only minor downfall is that most of his loyalty is lavished upon me! For example, last night we got caught up watching a movie and lost track of where he was. When we went looking for him, we found him on my side of the bed just lying there as if he had full right to be there! When David gets up in the morning (he's the very early riser - between 5 & 5:30) Diesel will follow him out. In an attempt to let me sleep a while longer, Dave will close the door to our room. What does this loyal creature do? He lays outside the bedroom door and wimpers...for me. If Dave puts him outside, he comes to the window near my side of the bed and does the same thing. We have decided it is time for puppy training. Our last dog Sierra spoiled us - she came fully trained. Now it's time to get this one whipped into shape. Poor thing...he just doesn't know what's coming.

He's cute! I wonder how he would do with Charley?

So cute...it's like raising another child. I'm sure you thought you were done with that stage of life. :) He's getting really big!
